Runtz x Jealousy

With Jealousy being named Leafly’s 2022 strain of the year, it’s time to look at the future of this popular strain and where it can go next. That’s what CAM has done with our new Sweet Jealousy, taken things up a notch by dropping some Runtz in the mix.

Everyone loves the way this 2022 MVP can bulk up its partner, and this is no exception. The small buds you might be used to seeing with Runtz are beefed up and blinged out. The crystal coverage isn’t as over-the-top as your usual Runtz, but the added mass is a definite glow-up.

When you open the jar, the first smells are light and combine the two different sweetnesses. Squeezing a nug will hint at what’s next, but the grind releases all those pockets of underground gas. It’s still primarily sweet, but the tops of your nostrils start to sting from the additional aroma.

After you get into the first taste from a dry pull, Jealousy tries to take over. Fans of the parent strain will know that the floral sweetness overpowers most other flavors. After the first wave, you see that the Runtz candy flavors have woven into the Jealousy and made a thick, sweet blanket.

The full flavor is exactly what you read on the name tag. You’ll get a lot of that flowery Jealousy taste, but adding the Runtz gives a nice sweetening to the end of the flavor. It’s like we popped a Runtz frosting on a Jealousy cake. You still get all the floral in the front and doughy backend of Jealousy, but the sweetness that’s usually soft in the middle is now a solid layer of candy.
